The Sant’Anna celebration

The most awaited event on the island of Ischia could only take place under the Aragonese Castle or, to be more precise, in the stretch of sea between the castle and the small chapel dedicated to St. Anne. Thousands of people crowd the rocks around the castle every year on July 26th to watch the parade of allegorical boats. Another consistent part of the public is instead in water on board of big and small boats to follow the event by sea. A relatively young tradition, born in the '30s of the last century, but in a few years has become one of the most popular events in Campania. Do not miss!!!!!!!
